I were hiking up to this spot (lake) myself, many years ago. The Matterhorn is a majestic mountain and the typical sign for Switzerland, beside chocolate and cheese!
That it surely is. I was contemplating going for it, since the weather was so nice and stuff but we finally called it off. Since then, Im still wondering about the difficulty level of that trip. ANd about the lake location, Ive slept one night right next to the lake with this breathtaking view at the morning, yeah, wonderful location. For anyone who loves mountains - go to Zermatt :)
